Defining impotence/ erectile dysfunction

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

Impotence or erectile dysfunction is defined as the inability to achieve or sustain an erection that’s hard enough or lasts long enough to complete sexual intercourse or another chosen sexual activity. Impotence is now more commonly known as erectile dysfunction (ED).

Impotence is a symptom not a disease, however Impotence is one of the most feared words for men, is the inability to have, or maintain, an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. Impotence can be caused by physical and psychological reasons, for example: Stress, anxiety and nervousness, problems in relationships, poor health drinking too much alcohol, some medications, some operations & low levels of the male hormone testosterone.
Many of these males feel that the new treatments for erection difficulty (formerly known as impotence or impotency) have transformed their lives and improved their relationships.

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

A break through was made in 1983 when Dr Giles Brindley was able to demonstrate that the penis could be made erect by injecting it with a drug called Phentolamine. It worked by increasing the blood flow through the vessels into the penis to form an erection in its relaxed state.

Approved and audited by the World Health Organisation under their strict guidelines, Ajanta Pharma based in India, a highly reputable pharmaceutical company who have been in production since 1990 are major suppliers for companies in this industry today.

With its popularity increasing by the day & a success rate of almost 100%, most men find this the preferred choice of treatment & have often recommended this to others who are often still suffering in silence & are too embarrassed or ignorant to the facts to admit that they have a problem.
